| موضوع: مقالة عن الغيرة بالإنجليزية ، مستوى جامعي مقالة عن الغيرة بالإنجليزية ، مستوى جامعي Understanding human emotions has received a great deal of attention by developmental and clinical scholars. Yet, the task of such studies is to acquire emotional control, and manage one’s emotions in social situations. In fact, human emotions are perceived to be complex to study and hard to provide a particular definition to identify their nature. Studies on jealousy have been given much interest by scholars. As a matter of fact, jealousy is a complex social emotion unlike the basic emotions of anger, fear, sadness and joy. People do not express jealousy through a single emotion or a single behavior. They instead express jealousy through diverse emotions and behaviors, which makes it difficult to form a scientific definition of jealousy. In this regard, Bevan, (2004:195) states that "Jealousy is defined as a protective reaction to a perceived threat to a valued relationship, arising from a situation in which the partner's involvement with an activity and/or another person is contrary to the jealous person's definition of their relationship." So jealousy is an emotional and behavioral response to a relationship threat. Furthermore, one should make a difference between jealousy and envy. The former is the emotion related to fear that something you have will be taken away by someone else, i.e., a suspicion of someone or something that is competing with what they love or desire while the latter is the emotion of coveting what someone else has like status, possessions, power, or wealth that they don’t have but wished that they did. Moreover, there are reasons behind jealousy. One of the possible causes the lack of self-confidence, in other words, one doubts about his abilities and skills. Having a poor self-image is another cause of jealousy since one believes that someone is better than him/her. A poor self-image and lack of self-confidence can result in making a person feels insecure about a relationship and this can be a strong reason that can make him/her jealous. Furthermore, jealousy is normal emotions which all human feel from time to time. However, it would be a bit worrisome if it has been taken to dangerous extremes. This is what is known as morbid jealousy. Aspects of morbid jealousy syndrome include irrational thought patterns and emotions and acting in extreme even dangerous ways. To sum up, jealousy is a complex emotion that encompasses many different kinds of feelings ranging from fear of abandonment to rage and humiliation. It is experienced when a person is threatened by a loss of an important relationship with another person (the "partner”) to a "rival” (usually another person, but not necessarily so) الموضوعالأصلي : مقالة عن الغيرة بالإنجليزية ، مستوى جامعي // المصدر : ممنتديات جواهر ستار التعليمية //الكاتب: الرياغي مراد اب
